Wintertime traditions, attractions draw seasonal travelers to Warren County

Warren County attractions, festivals gear up for busy fall travel season
WARREN COUNTY, OH (November 7, 2016) — The Lebanon Horse-Drawn Carriage Parade & Christmas Festival, Beach Mountain, and more wintertime attractions are expected to once again draw considerable crowds to Warren County, Ohio, this winter travel season, according to the Warren County Convention & Visitors Bureau (WCCVB).
In the City of Mason, the wintertime counterpart to The Beach Waterpark, Beach Mountain, will return for its third season of operation in November. Featuring a 400-foot snow tubing hill, themed play area, and more, it’s scheduled to welcome its first guests of 2016 on Friday, November 25.
Elsewhere in Mason, Great Wolf Lodge will transform into Snowland beginning November 26. In addition to its trademark 84-degree indoor waterpark, the lodge will feature life-size gingerbread houses, visits from Santa, holiday games and activities for kids, and more seasonal offerings.
Scheduled to take place Saturday, December 3, Lebanon’s Horse Drawn Carriage Parade & Christmas Festival will feature more than 100 decorated carriages pulled by mini horses, Clydesdales, Percherons, and more, as well as live entertainment, specialty shopping, and food and craft booths. An afternoon parade and a candle-lit evening procession will be featured.
Historic downtown Lebanon will also be the site of holiday-themed train rides on the Lebanon Mason Monroe (LM&M) Railroad’s North Pole Express. Offered select dates and times November 26 through December 24, the LM&M experience also includes visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, entertainment by elves, hot chocolate, and holiday cookies.
In northern Warren County, Waynesville’s annual Christmas in the Village celebration will welcome guests December 4-5 with over 1,300 luminaries, decorated storefronts, carriage rides, live entertainment, and more. Springboro’s La Comedia Dinner Theatre — one of the largest professional dinner theaters remaining in the United States — is serving up buffet-style meals and professional Broadway-style productions of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol November 2 through December 31.
Showcasing its nationally renowned outdoor walk-through display of approximately one million LED lights, The Christmas Ranch in Morrow, Ohio, will welcome guests November 25 through December 31. Previously featured on HGTV and Good Morning America, the Christmas Ranch will also offer guests holiday shopping, pictures with Santa, themed train rides, and festive food and drinks.
Home to decorated, historic Main Streets, a variety of locally owned dining options, and more than 100 antique, boutique, and specialty shops, the towns of Warren County will once again be among the region’s most popular holiday shopping destinations. Visitors can shop for homemade jams and more at Homegrown Ohio by the Jam & Jelly Lady in Lebanon, find thousands of fabrics at The Fabric Shack in Waynesville, and hunt for both traditional and unique holiday décor at King’s Mills General Store and Christmas Shop in Kings Mills.
