Dinosaurs Alive! to debut at Kings Island this May!

 Dinosaurs Alive at Kings Island

Visitors to Kings Island will have an opportunity to step back up to 245 million years in time when the world's largest animatronic dinosaur park debuts May 26, 2011.

More than 60 life-sized dinosaurs will be on display (some as tall as 30 feet high) in Dinosaurs Alive! at Kings Island, including 56 animatronic models, in a spectacular outdoor Jurassic forest setting!

The multi-sensory and interactive dinosaur park brings inspiration, science and technology together at Kings Island where guests will also hear the sounds and see the movements of these animatronic creations made to replicate nearly every feature of the dinosaurs.

Dinosaurs Alive at Kings Island amusement park

Guests will experience 6 main scenes and 6 thematic exhibits as they make their way along a 4,000-foot long path spread throughout nearly 13 wooded acres.

Throughout this Jurassic journey, you'll learn about what the dinosaurs ate, when and where they lived, how they protected themselves, and how they adapted to their prehistoric world.

Adding to the thrill and excitement are the 4 dinosaurs with interactive consoles which allow guests to guide dinosaur movement so they can see how scientists believe each dinosaur moved its arms, tail, mouth and eyes. Other highlights include an excavation site replica, a kids' paleontological dig site where visitors can uncover prehistoric fossils, and a 1,500 square-foot dinosaur-themed gift shop that will feature more than 500 items.

   Dinosaurs Alive at Kings Island

Dinosaurs Alive! at Kings Island will be open daily beginning May 26 from 10:00 a.m. until dusk. The dinosaur park is not included with general park admission or a 2011 season pass.

A separate admission ticket of just $5.00 is required for this major attraction. Guests visiting Kings Island can purchase Dinosaurs Alive! admission tickets at the park or in advance online through the park's website.

THIS NEEDS TO FREE. KI passed cost enough, asking MORE money is ridiculous.

This should be included in the price of admission. Grandparents and parents spend alot of money at the park already, when you include admission, food, beverages, etc. A family with limited funds and alot of children would have to deny their children this added attraction at much dissappointment to all.

I agree this should be free to see. When a family of 4 already spend over $100 to get n then buy drinks and food they have spend way over $200 how much more do they want

I agree, this should be free, money adds up fast and spends even faster, sometimes king island is the only get away for a family (vacation) gets all year, these days! parking should be free or paying for parking should get you in Dinosaurs Alive or a free pass to use another day! It's something you would love to see again!!!

This should be a free attraction.. it is not worth the added price of admission! we spend a fortune coming to your park... this is just another way to nickle and dime!

My family goes to Kings Island every year. The tickets and cost of food and drinks cost enough on their own. To pay extra to get into Dinosaurs Alive is CRAZY. My family travel a long way to get to Kings Island and spend enough money as it is.

it is a option, if you dont want to pay the five dollars than dont, but if you choose to nobody wants to here you complain about it. Im sure you dont complain to the store clerk that just charged you 10$ for that 12 pk.

Omg I so agree Ive never visited but am going this week.It becomes very costly to krep these themeparks up to code and their employees paid.I believe an extra cost is a little extreme but when you come to an adult point of virw you see the reasons why their is such a dramatic charge for fpod and admission.Im so excited to go and can only leave all the complainers with this small advise. If you can't afford it don't go and plan ahead.Try a local theme park or plan local activities in your surrounding neighborhood. The early bird gets the worm,so always plan ahead with much anticipation and plenty of cash.complainets will always be that complainets.Enjoy.for those who will have a blast as I will ;)

I read the comments hoping to get feedback about the Dinosaurs Alive attraction. What a disappointment to hear people complaining about having to pay for something they want in a free market economy. Pathetic. It wasn't free for Kings Island to create and build the attraction - this is the simple reason you are paying to get in.
Now, does anybody having any comments about whether this attraction is worth the time and money to go?
