Maybe it's because we are a fruit farm, but we just love to celebrate and showcase our own fruit as it comes into season and ripens!

Our festivals are times for fun with the whole family with train rides, hayrides, homemade treats and desserts, as well as plenty of fresh homegrown apples!

The Ohio Valley Civil War Association re-creates a Union Army encampment complete with canons booming, close order drill demonstrations, camp fire cooking, battle field medicine discussion, signal corps, military band and much more. Food available. The event is free to the public. Glendower mansion is open for tours at a special admission of just $5.00

Morgans Little Miami Triathlon - Fall Edition

Triathlon consists of 6 mile paddle in canoe or kayak, 5.8 miles run, and 18 mile bike ride. Included in your registration fee is the use of the canoe or kayak with the lifejackets and paddles, parking, the after party with a hot catered meal, live music and a race memento. This 38 year tradition is a fun and unique run with competitors "in it to win it" as well as those that just want to challenge themselves. We now offer a half tri which is great for first timers or those wanting to compete with a younger or older family member or friend.

Climb aboard the farm wagon for a family friendly Adventure Wagon Ride. Travel along the old stone roads of this historic farm... across an abandoned railway, past the old home site and into the valley of Todd Fork, where you will encounter colorful characters portrayed by professional actors.

The Farm Kitchen offers delicious farm dinners, apple dumplings, caramel apples and pumpkin pie, all "made from scratch" on the farm. Shop the Country Store for pumpkins, locally made jams, jelly, honey, fudge and kettle corn -- handmade candles, fall decorations and more.

A leisurely stroll in Waynesville highlights ghostly encounters and historically based stories. Collected first-hand from residents, merchants and visitors, the stories are spooky but not scary. Two tour routes are available: Main Street and Quaker Heights. Tours start at 7:30pm on these October, 2017 dates: 4, 6, 7, 18, 20, 21, 25, 27, 28. Cookies and soft drinks provided after the tour at the Museum at the Friends Home.

Take a wagon ride along the old stone roads of this historic farm, back to a time when only lanterns lit the way. Glimpse ghostly travelers from the past and hear their true stories. (Characters portrayed by professional actors) The Lantern Light Wagon Ride is a family friendly haunt.

Bring a flashlight to find your way through the shadowy rows of the CrAzEd C0Rn MAzE, but beware of what you might see....or what might see you....along the way. Enjoy a delicious "made from scratch " farm dinner, hot chocolate, cider, apple dumpling or fresh caramel apple from the Farm Kitchen then gather 'round the campfire. Shop the Country Store for pumpkins, fall decorations, locally made jams, fudge, Kettle Corn and more.

Autumn is the best time for a train ride! Take a relaxing ride with your family aboard the LM&M Railroad’s Fall Flyer. Enjoy a pleasant 1 hour and 15 minute journey between Lebanon and Hageman Junction.

Ride in our restored 1930’s Lackawanna coaches. These cars feature large open windows, fans to circulate air on warmer days, and traditional railroad “walk-over” style seating. The LM&M’s unique open-air gondola will be available after tickets are punched by our conductors. The open-air car is the perfect way to take in the area’s fall colors. Warren County’s fall colors typically peak in mid-to-late October. During the journey listen as our uniformed conductors tell you the history of the Cincinnati, Lebanon, and Northern Railway.

At the station, we will have a small hay maze FREE for younger children. The Black Barn, a local greenhouse and farm market, will have shop on the platform selling apple cider, pie, caramel apples, and more! The shop will be located under the canopy of the vintage gas station adjacent to the train. The Black Barn is CASH ONLY.

All ticketed passengers will receive a FREE pie pumpkin grown by The Black Barn. The pumpkins will be adjacent to the restroom building. Passengers must show their train ticket to the attendant to receive a pumpkin.

  Soak in the bright colors of fall as you explore Fort Ancient's 2,000-year-old Hopewell enclosure and discover how the 18,000 ft. of earthen walls were built and used by Native Americans.

Please note: This is an outdoor hike so please dress for the weather and wear appropriate shoes. This can be up to a two hour program; trails are moderate and reasonably flat, but the path can include foot bridges and other natural obstacles.

2017 Mud-o-Ween 5K Extreme Trail Run

Take on the muckiest challenge ever hosted by Countryside YMCA, the fifth annual Mud-o-Ween extreme trail run on Saturday, October 21.

This 5K run is held on the nature trails of Countryside YMCA’s property. The course has a variety of natural obstacles such as ravines, creeks and a pond, plus many man-made obstacles like hurdles, climbs, water pits and mud. Finishing the event will be challenging and fun. Bring a fun spirit, a super hero costume and plan on getting muddy!
The event is open to adults and youth ages 11 and older. Early registration is $45 per person, or $35 per person on a team.
Packet pick up is Friday, October 21 from noon to 7:00pm at Countryside YMCA in Lebanon. Race day registration starts 8:45am and the race begins at 10:00am. Runners will start in waves of 6 people every 30 seconds.

Participants are advised to wear shoes and clothes that can get muddy, and to bring a change of clean clothes. Warm showers are available onsite.

Finisher awards are presented.

Race proceeds fund the YMCA Annual Campaign, which provides year-round with outreach efforts and membership assistance programs designed to make sure that everyone in Warren County has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.

Registration is $45.
