Caesar's Creek State Park

Caesar Creek State Park is highlighted by clear blue waters, scattered woodlands, meadows and steep ravines. The park offers some of the finest outdoor recreation in southwest Ohio including boating, hiking, fishing, bird watching and even fossil hunting.

Camp sites are available for a nightly fee.

Franklin Murals

A beautiful afternoon trip through Franklin's downtown district quickly turns into a fascinating look back into the city's history. The Franklin Murals depict everything from a 19th century park scene to the city's once proud Great Miami Suspension Bridge.

The Krohn Conservatory is open 365 days a year with FREE admission.  Donations are accpeted.

Little Miami Scenic Bike Trail

The Little Miami Scenic Bike Trail offers more than 70 miles of paved trails running alongside the historic Little Miami River. Your outing will take you through rolling hills, colorful woodlands, picturesque countryside and into quaint small towns.

Newport Aquarium's Penguin Parades

Meet Randy, Paula, Simon, Kara or the newest penguin addition, Ellen. The parade begins every morning on the Plaza in front of the Aquarium when the penguins arrive in their brand new, custom-made Penguin Mobile amidst a ton of fun and fanfare. These are warm-weather African penguins - not the arctic ones - so they love being outside in the summer. A Newport Aquarium biologist who cares for them will share interesting facts about penguins and conservation. And each day, one lucky child will be chosen at random to be the Parade's Grand Marshall. It's an experience you won't forget.

Note: In case of inclement weather the parade will be held in the Aquarium lobby.

New Komodo Dragon Exhibit at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden

The Komodo dragon returns to the Zoo with the opening of its newest exhibit, "Dragons!" In addition to the new Komodo dragon, the exhibit will also feature several species of monitor lizards, highlighting the largest, longest, smallest and some of the most colorful monitor lizards in the world.

Family Saturday at the UnMuseum

On Family Saturday, an artist joins families in creating art projects where CAC families use current and upcoming exhibitions to inspire learning and creativity through guided artmaking activities.

This program is designed for children ages 5-10 and their caregivers.

"Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" at La Comedia Dinner Theatre

Based on the 1988 film which starred Michael Caine and Steve Martin, this hilarious musical comedy is about two fraudsters living on the French Riviera. One day they meet on the train and try to setup some work together, but soon find out that the small French town they live in isn't big enough to support two scammers. They agree that the first person to successfully steal $50,000 from a young tourist will get to stay. The battle between them starts, with many twists and belly laughs along the way!

Thursday Art Play at the UnMuseum

Thursday Art Play is a program where children (preK-8yrs) can tap into their imagination and creativity while learning through a unique, multi-layered experience with art. Led by professional art educators, this program is scheduled for one hour and the projects are tailored to each child's ability and adaptable to the various ages within the group.

Thursday Art Play takes places on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month.

Day Out with Thomas the Tank Engine at the Lebanon Mason Monroe Railroad

All aboard for the biggest event of the year at the Lebanon Mason Monroe Railroad. All the way from the Island of Sodor, Thomas and his friend Sir Topham Hatt, manager of the Sodor Railway, come to Lebanon for magical trips, live music and storytelling. Mason Arts Festival presented by the Mason Area Arts Council

The works of more than 120 local and regional artists will be featured at this free event. See fine art displays ranging from pottery to paintings, to woodwork. Local performing artists will entertain throughout the day. Plus, there will be more than 200 pieces of young student artwork on display for all to see. The little ones can also enjoy a variety of children's art activities and are encouraged to fly kites with the local Kite Club.

One of the unique features of the Country Applefest in Lebanon is that all the craft vendors are required to hand-make their items! You definitely won’t find any commercially manufactured items at this down-home festival. Festival goers will find wonderful handmade crafts such as pottery, porcelain vases, wreaths, gemstone and beaded jewelry, candles, baskets, and all kinds of wonderful decorations for any holiday.
