In 1803, Jonas Seaman was issued a license to operate a "house of entertainment" in downtown Lebanon, Ohio. Ohio's oldest Inn and continuously operating business, The Lamb began as a stagecoach stop for travelers between Cincinnati and Columbus. Now nationally known, The Golden Lamb Inn & Restaurant has hosted 12 US Presidents and some of the most prominent literary and political figures of the 19th century.
In four public and five private dining rooms, The Lamb serves traditional American fare amid antique and Shaker decor. The 18 guest rooms, still serving bed & breakfast guests, are named for the notables who once stayed at the Inn. Furnished in antiques, the rooms are open to public viewing when unoccupied.
