First weekend in December

Day One

Friday evening

5:00–6:00 p.m. Dinner at Der Dutchman – Amish Kitchen cooking.

6:00–9:00 p.m. Christmas in the Village – In Waynesville, step back into the 1800s on decorated historic Main Street, lined with 1300 luminaries. Enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides, carolers, musicians, costumed Dickens’ and Victorian characters and shop for that unique gift in the 70 plus antique and specialty shops.

9:30 p.m. Check-in at hotel.

Day Two

Until 9:00 a.m. – Breakfast at hotel.

9:30–10:30 a.m. Kings Mills Christmas Shop & General Store – Wander from room to room and discover ornaments and decorations for every holiday season or occasion. The Kings Mills Christmas Shop & General Store is the exclusive dealer in Ohio and one of only 25 dealers in the United States for Patricia Breen Hand Made Glass ornaments.

11:00–2:00 p.m. Lunch and Historic Lebanon Christmas Festival and Horse-drawn Carriage Parade – Dine at one of Lebanon’s restaurants or feast upon the variety of vendor’s fare. At 1:00 p.m., gather around the parade route for the Horse-drawn Carriage Parade, where at least 110 antique and decorated carriages participate.

2:30–3:30 p.m. Glendower State Memorial – Browse through one of the finest examples of residential Greek Revival architecture. Built between 1836 and 1840, this mansion is decorated in period holiday décor.

4:00–5:00 p.m. Big Tree Plantation – Visit a Christmas Tree Farm and enjoy a wagon ride through the plantation followed by a hot cup of cocoa. Browse in their unique Holly Days Gift Shop, located in a 100+ year-old barn, with thousands of dazzling ornaments and specialty gifts. Over 15 hand-decorated trees adorn the barn, each having a different theme.

5:30–8:30 p.m. Dinner, wine tasting (optional) and tour at Valley Vineyards Winery. Cook your own New York Strip served with fresh salads, baked potato, side dishes, bread & butter and homemade dessert buffet.
