Depending on your arrival time, you can spend an entire day or just an afternoon in the quaint small towns of Lebanon and Waynesville, known as the “Antiques Capital of the Midwest”. The tour includes an Annuals or Herb Container Workshop at Marvin’s Organic Gardens and a visit to The Secret Garden where you can meander along multiple paths filled with unique and whimsical works of art and primitives. Of course, there is time included for shopping at the more than 100 specialty and antique shops located along the area’s brick-lined streets as well as lunch at either the historic Golden Lamb or Amish kitchen cooking at Der Dutchman. End the day with a winery tour and “grill your own steak” dinner at the Valley Vineyards Winery.
Enjoy a lovely brunch buffet on the Belle Of Cincinnati Riverboat as you cruise to historic Coney Island for the famous Cincinnati Flower Show, touted as “The King of Flower shows” by Better Homes and Gardens. Along the way, you’ll be entertained by a horticultural expert and receive details on the highlights of the show. The finale of the day is a softly lit buffet dinner and a lively Broadway-style production at La Comedia, the 4th largest dinner theater in the country.
Today is the final day of the tour and it’s time to journey home. But, wait! There’s more to see! If you are traveling north, stop at the Historic Woodland Cemetery & Arboretum in Dayton for a one hour guided tour that includes history, a 100 year old original Tiffany window, over 3,000 trees, plants, and shrubs, and some behind-thescenes attractions. If you are traveling south, visit Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum, one of the largest cemeteries in the nation with numerous beautiful gardens...or take a tram ride at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens for their Zoo Blooms display of dazzling bulbs, flowering trees, and shrubs.
