The onsite museum offers a glimpse into American Indian culture with hands-on activities. Just outside the Museum is a seasonal outdoor garden that depicts crops grown 1,000 to 2,000 years ago.
Reconnect with this sacred ground and help preserve it for future generations.
Fort Ancient staff members will provide volunteers with tools and instructions on how to remove harmful vegetation from portions of the 3.5 miles of earthen walls within Fort Ancient. Other outdoor volunteer activities include trail maintenance and picnic area cleaning.
Indoor volunteer opportunities are available such as museum cleaning.
Volunteers will receive free admission to the museum and grounds and Fort Ancient program. A liability waiver form will need to be signed in order to participate in this program.
