You'll Find Jam-Packed Fun at Strawberry Days

Blog by Stacha Yundt
Ice cream and popsicles, hot dogs from the grill, sweet and sticky watermelon — these are the flavors of summertime. And right at the top of that list should be great big red, juicy strawberries. At Blooms & Berries Farm Market, you’ll find more than you can eat.
Strawberry Days, a favorite farm festival, has returned with a booming strawberry crop that’s ripe for the picking — literally! And while it’s true that you could spend all afternoon picking berries without making a dent in the fields, Farmer Jeff and his crew have put together a few other activities to enjoy.
You’ve eaten plenty of strawberries, but have you ever jumped on one? Kids will get their chance at the massive strawberry bounce pad at the event. Both the bounce pad and rides on the farm’s train are included with your ticket. Also included is the low ropes course, the play yard, and the petting yard (though if you want to feed the animals, that’ll cost a little extra).
While the bakery and market barn offer plenty of delicious eats daily, as an added bonus on Saturdays and Sundays guests can enjoy bites from a number of different food trucks. Live music is another weekend feature.
Whenever you’re ready to head to the field, you can opt either to walk there along a designated path or climb aboard for a hayride shuttle to and from the strawberries. Once you arrive at the field, a guide will show you where to start picking and you’re free to fill your bucket with as many juicy berries as you can find.
If the strawberries are all you’re after, Blooms and Berries also hosts U-Pick events separate from the festival. The market barn and garden center are also open daily and full of both blooms and berries already picked and ready to enjoy.
This event is a great way to get out and enjoy a day at the farm, but hurry! Much like a ripe strawberry, this event won’t last forever! Strawberry Days is happening now through May 31st. Get your tickets before they run out!
