A Sweet Taste of Fall in Warren County

Blog by Stacha Yundt
Crunchy leaves, crisp air, and cozy flavors — there’s an endless number of reasons to love sweater season! From cider and donuts to pumpkin-shaped cookies and signature fall cocktails, our local farms are serving up plenty of reasons to indulge. Here’s your guide to the can’t-miss fall treats waiting in Ohio’s Largest Playground this season.
Blooms & Berries Farm Market – Fall on the Farm (Starting Sept. 13)
Nothing says autumn quite like Fall on the Farm at Blooms & Berries. In between jumping on the giant pumpkin-shaped bounce pad and enjoying a classic hayride, you’ll find no shortage of seasonal treats to sink your teeth into from the bakery. Sip on a refreshing apple cider slushy or a classic cup of cider, then treat yourself to a warm slice of freshly baked pie (apple, pumpkin, and more. Frozen pies can be bought inside to bring home & enjoy later!). Speaking of giant and pumpkin-shaped, kids and kids-at-heart will love the pumpkin sugar cookies (also available in sunflower!), plus apple cider floats to wash it down.
Irons Fruit Farm – Apple Cider Donut Heaven
When locals talk about fall treats, Irons Fruit Farm is almost always the first name that comes up. Famous for their perfectly spiced, melt-in-your-mouth apple cider donuts, this Lebanon favorite also serves up a wide range of apple-inspired goodies. Stop by the market for fresh apple cider, apple pies, and golden, gooey apple fritters that taste like autumn in every bite. It’s the kind of place where you’ll want to sample everything — and maybe take a dozen donuts home just to be safe.
Hidden Valley Orchards – From Bakery to “Croptails”
Nestled in Lebanon, Hidden Valley Orchards is equal parts orchard, bakery, and social hangout. Their bakery features a lineup of fall staples like apple fritters and donuts, best enjoyed fresh and warm. But what makes HVO extra special is The Crate Room, their on-site taproom, where mixologists craft one-of-a-kind “Croptails.” These signature cocktails highlight the flavors of the season (think spiced apple, pumpkin, and other farm-fresh ingredients) making it the perfect stop for an afternoon with friends or a festive fall date night.
Whether you’re craving a warm donut, a slice of homemade pie, or a seasonal sip, Warren County’s farms have something delicious waiting for you. Plan a visit this fall and treat yourself to the flavors that make Ohio’s Largest Playground the sweetest place to be!
