Fall on the Little Miami Scenic Trail: Color, Crisp Air & Cozy Stops

Blog by Stacha Yundt
Few places capture the magic of autumn quite like the Little Miami Scenic Trail. Stretching 78 miles across Ohio, this paved pathway winds beneath a canopy of trees that put on an incredible show each fall. Reds, oranges, and yellows line the riverbanks, and cool breezes make the trail especially inviting for bikers, walkers, and families looking for a seasonal adventure.
A Front-Row Seat to Fall Foliage
If visiting Warren County in the autumn, this trail is a must-visit for any leaf peeper. Starting just north of downtown Loveland, much of the path runs parallel to the Little Miami River and offers sweeping views of the water framed by changing leaves. Unlike crowded highways or busy city streets, the trail offers a slower, more peaceful way to soak in the season. Even a quick ride or walk will reward you with postcard-worthy scenery.
Perfect Pairings: Trail Time + Local Flavor
Of course, no fall outing is complete without something warm and delicious to enjoy along the way. Luckily, the trail is dotted with welcoming spots to refuel.
- Monkey Bar & Grille – Just four miles north of Loveland, this lively stop is known for its sprawling patio and family-friendly vibe. After logging some miles, settle in with a hearty meal or catch a live music performance. The atmosphere feels even cozier as temperatures drop and leaves start to swirl around the patio. Their patio also features waterfront views of the river, and has a number of firepits for those cooler days.
- Cartridge Brewing – Housed in the historic Peters Cartridge Company factory in Maineville, this brewery is a must for craft beer lovers. With bike racks out front and a menu that goes beyond bar food, Cartridge makes it easy to relax after a ride. Their rotating seasonal beers pair perfectly with the crispness of autumn.
- Depot Brewing Company – One of the newest additions to Warren County's growing craft brewery scene, Depot Brewing Company in downtown Morrow is quickly making a name for itself. Specializing in small-batch brews and housed in the historic Morrow Train Station, you couldn't pick a better spot to top off after your ride.
Extend Your Adventure
If you’ve still got energy, push a little farther north to Corwin. From there, downtown Waynesville — famous for its antique shops and fall festivals — is just a short detour away. Or lace up your hiking boots and explore nearby Caesar Creek State Park, where wooded trails and lake views give you even more ways to enjoy autumn.
A Trail Made for Fall
Whether you’re pedaling with friends, strolling with family, or heading out solo for some quiet time, the Little Miami Scenic Trail is one of Warren County’s best fall escapes. With brilliant foliage overhead and plenty of places to eat, sip, and explore along the way, it’s a seasonal tradition worth making your own!
