National Coffee Day? This is Grounds for Celebration

Just when pumpkin spice is back on the shelves and in the cafes, along comes a nationally recognized day just for coffee. Sometimes things just work out. Whether you take your java hot, iced, frothy or fancy, National Coffee Day (September 29th) is the perfect excuse to fill your cup at some of Warren County’s coziest cafes and coolest coffee spots. From creamy lattes to bold brews, here are just a few local favorites worth perking up for.
Taylor’s Coffee and Creamery (Waynesville)
Home of the famous coffee bucket, Taylor’s Coffee and Creamery in Waynesville is overflowing with good vibes and good brews. Their fall menu features a number of tasty flavors like their Harvest Spice Latte and Apple Chai-der, and if you’re having trouble deciding on a drink you can always opt for a Fall Coffee Flight. This cozy cafe also serves up a number of locally made baked goods and has outdoor seating available. Located in the heart of downtown Waynesville, you can always take your drink to go while you stroll and shop the antique shops and boutiques that make this little town such a popular destination.
Calypso Cafe & Bakery (Franklin)
One of Warren County’s newest coffee shops, Calypso has quickly made a home and a name for itself in Franklin. Described as a coffee shop and bakery “with Caribbean flair,” you’re sure to fall head over heels for their flavorful drinks and made-from-scratch pastries. All in for fall, sink your teeth into pumpkin spice rolls, muffins, cheesecake and cookies, and wash it all down with your favorite latte.
This Guy’s Coffee (Springboro)
This Guy’s Coffee is truly all that. Located near downtown Springboro, this cafe has been a local favorite for years. Though best known for their chai tea lattes, their extensive coffee menu is sure to win over any java fan. While their fall menu naturally features plenty of pumpkin spice, apple lovers are sure to fall for their Apple Pie Latte and Chai drinks. Be sure to pair them with a signature Cranberry Orange Scone or Pumpkin Cheesecake Muffin.
Lot No. 1 Coffee (Lebanon)
If we had to pick one word to describe Lot No. 1 Coffee, it’d have to be cozy — and really, what more could you want out of a local coffee shop in autumn than that? Well, besides delicious drinks and pastries, but good news! Lot No. 1 has plenty of both. With seasonal flavors like Caramel Apple and Honey Bun lattes to pair with freshly made muffins, you’ll have the perfect recipe for fall vibes when you visit.
No matter how you take it, coffee is the perfect way to start your morning, warm up a chilly fall afternoon, or treat yourself on National Coffee Day. Warren County’s cafés are full of flavor, personality, and plenty of local love — so brew up some plans to visit one (or all) of them soon.
