November in Warren County: Falling for the Season All Over Again

Blog by Stacha Yundt

November in Warren County is the sweet spot between pumpkin patches and holiday magic, with crisp air, cozy vibes and colorful trails. Before twinkling lights and Santa sightings take over the calendar, there’s still plenty to see, do, and savor across Ohio’s Largest Playground.

The Unbe-leaf-able Outdoors

Don’t pack away those hiking boots just yet! Late fall is one of the best times to explore the great outdoors. Take in the last pops of color at Caesar Creek State Park, or enjoy a peaceful ride (or walk!) along the Little Miami Scenic Trail. The air’s cool, the crowds are light, and the views are worth the extra layer or two.

Fort Ancient Earthworks & Nature Preserve

And if you’re craving a little history with your hike, make your way to Fort Ancient Earthworks & Nature Preserve. Not only a part of the Hopewell Ceremonial Earthworks, Ohio’s only UNESCO World Heritage Site, Fort Ancient also has a number of hiking trails and offers up breathtaking views of the Little Miami River Valley.

Fill Your Bags With Local Finds

Looking to get a head start on holiday shopping? Skip the big-box bustle and hit up our small towns for a little retail therapy. Browse the boutiques in Lebanon, Waynesville, and Springboro for unique finds everyone on your list will love (or for yourself, we won’t judge!). Shops will have their halls thoroughly decked so that even window shopping becomes a treat.

P.S. Sweet tooths, take note: plenty of shops will be stocked full of warm, seasonal treats. Plan to swing through local favorites like Carli’s Cookies and Anna’s Gourmet Popcorn in Lebanon, Taylor’s Coffee and Creamery in Waynesville, and Heather’s Gourmet Caramel Apples in Springboro for a sweet treat.

Cozy Up & Chow Down

After a day of exploring, warm up with a hearty meal and local flavor. Grab dinner at The Golden Lamb, Ohio’s oldest continually run business, sip a craft beer at the Depot Brewing Company or any of the other breweries in Warren County’s overflowing craft beer scene, or toast the season with a glass of wine at Valley Vineyards.

Holiday Cheer Ahead

Not quite ready for the holidays? Don’t worry, the magic will find you soon enough! Starting later this month and rolling into December, Warren County transforms into a full-on winter wonderland with events like Kings Island’s WinterFest, The Christmas Ranch, LM&M Railroad’s North Pole Express, Yuletide Village, and Christmas in Springboro.

Savor the sweater weather, take that extra scenic drive, and fall for Warren County all over again this November.
