If you are interested in archaeology and prehistory, this is the pace for you. This program highlights many activities that will be enjoyed by the entire family. There will be artifact and fossil identification and 30 minute tours of the museum and a portion of the grounds. Watch as a flintknapper makes spears and arrows from flint, or maybe learn how to throw a spear with an atlatl (spear thrower), and learn to play a game of double ball. Inside the museum, guests will be able to explore a classroom with many hands on activities including playing a large drum, deer hoof rattles, dress up in 18th Century clothing, and a scavenger hunt through the museum exhibit hall.
Noon to 4:00pm, artifact and fossil identification from 12:30-3:30pm
