Mason Community Players Present 1776

The Mason Community Players is celebrating America’s semiquincentennial with the presentation of 1776. Director Robert Terry, Producer Tess Catlin, Music Directors Luke and Kassidy Mayernik, Instrumental Director Lara Gonzalez, Choreographer Abby Farmer, and Stage Manager Jess Bunn are leading a cast of 30 talented performers in this patriotic musical. 1776 is an American musical classic, which chronicles the fight for liberty as John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, and Thomas Jefferson emboldened a deadlocked Continental Congress. Tony Bergman portrays John Adams, Dave Abbott plays Benjamin Franklin, and Justin Hanks portrays Thomas Jefferson. The musical revisits this historic “moment in time” through song, humor, romance, pathos, and nail-biting tension. It is as patriotic as apple pie! 1776 is the “liberty” portion of our Fighting for Life, LIBERTY, and the pursuit of happiness season, which is honoring the semiquincentennial of the United States.
