Mason Community Players Present Almost, Maine
Mason Community Players kicks off the 2026 season with Almost, Maine. Director Corey Meyer, Producer Lara Gonzalez, and Stage Manager Desrial Meyer are leading a cast of 19 amazing actors that range in age from 25 to 75. Twelve of them are MCP veterans, six are new to the MCP, and one is new to theatre.
The play consists of nine short, interconnected scenes that explore love, loss, and relationships in the remote town of Almost, Maine, on a cold winter night under the Northern Lights. Almost, Maine, is a very small, mythical town in Maine that is so far north, it’s almost in Canada. This play is known for its heartwarming and magical realism.
John Cariani wrote Almost, Maine, which premiered in 2004 at the Portland Stage Company. The play broke box office records and has since become one of the most frequently produced plays in the United States. It is particularly popular in high schools and community theatres.
Almost Maine performances will take place on February 20, 21, 26, 27, and 28 at 8 p.m., and February 22 at 2 p.m.
Tickets cost $20. Patrons can purchase tickets online at MasonPlayers.org, by calling 513-398-7804, or at the door. The box office opens one hour before the curtain.
