The Pirates of Penzance

The Mason Community Players present Gilbert & Sullivan's classic musical, "The Pirates of Penzance." The show is the tale of Frederic, a young man mistakenly apprenticed to a band of pirates. He celebrates his 21st birthday, which he believes releases him from his pirate duties. However, a twist of fate reveals he was born on February 29th (a leap day), making him technically much younger and still bound to the pirates. The story follows Frederic's attempts to reconcile his sense of duty, his love for Mabel, and his former pirate comrades, leading to humorous complications.
