Wilderness Skills

  • Admission: General site admission for non-members. Regular site admission: $7.00 Adults, $6.00 for seniors & students.

Participants will explore techniques of hunting, fishing, tanning, and trapping. During this presentation, we will shoot bows and arrows as well as spears. Information will be given on how to set traps, tan hides and make jerky among other handy skills to have to survive in the natural world.

This program is open to all as there will be activities for children as well. All of the presentations will have opportunities to have first-hand experiences in doing all of these things. Participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for possibly changing Ohio weather, as we will be outdoors. This is ongoing throughout the afternoon.
