Warren County CVB Recognized with 7 Awards from State Association

Warren County, Ohio (October 13, 2022) – The Warren County Convention & Visitors Bureau (WCCVB) received seven RUBY Awards for its destination marketing efforts Thursday afternoon at the Ohio Travel Association's (OTA) 2022 Ohio Conference on Travel.

Presented annually by Ohio Magazine and the OTA, the RUBY (Recognizing Uncommon Brilliance Yearly) Awards serve to honor outstanding efforts made by Ohio tourism entities in the marketing and promotion of their respective destinations.

“The OTA is an outstanding and impactful organization doing exceptional work not only for Ohio’s travel industry, but for our state as a whole,” said Phillip S. Smith, President & CEO of the WCCVB. “We’re honored to work alongside them and to have earned their recognition here this afternoon. Our team at the WCCVB works hard day in and day out to promote our region in creative, innovative ways, and it’s always terrific to have that effort commended.”

This year’s RUBY Awards included 17 different categories which received more than 180 unique entries across three budget levels. Warren County competed in the highest budget level alongside such markets as Cincinnati and Cleveland.

The WCCVB won first place honors for its web site, OhiosLargestPlayground.com, as well its Annual Report. The bureau also earned five second-place Citations of Excellence across the Marketing Campaign, Television Advertisement, Print Ad, Blog and Promotional Video categories. The WCCVB was named as a finalist in five additional categories.

Tourism is a leading industry in Warren County, as the region widely known as Ohio’s Largest Playground welcomes more than 12 million visitors annually, generating an economic impact of $1.45 billion and supporting nearly 12,000 tourism-related jobs.
