Looking Forward to Fall in Warren County

Blog by Scott Hutchinson

As Ohio’s steamy summer gives way to a temperate, colorful fall, a brand new season of exciting opportunities awaits visitors in Warren County. While there’s no wrong way to celebrate autumn in Ohio’s Largest Playground®, there are certainly a few great places to start.

Ozone Zipline Adventures
Fall is one of the most beautiful times of year in Ohio, and there are few better places to experience that beauty than from high above the Little Miami Scenic River. Winding through the forests of Oregonia, Ohio, Ozone Zipline Adventures is one of the largest tree top canopy zip line tours in the Midwest, and an absolute must for both nature and adventure lovers.

Bonnybrook Farms
Nothing says fall like a little time down on the farm! Take a hay ride, grab a hearty home-cooked meal and enjoy more fresh-air adventures at Bonnybrook Farms in Clarksville, Ohio. One of the season’s most popular family attractions, Bonnybrook is also home to pumpkin patches, petting zoos and more fall-time fun.

Valley Vineyards
A picturesque vineyard in Morrow, Ohio, Valley Vineyards Winery & Brewery offers visitors a low-key, but incredibly enjoyable autumn outing. Sample their full range of award-winning wines and micro-brews, or visit for a weekend evening cookout, where you’ll grill your choice of delicious meats to enjoy with a delicious spread of side dishes, desserts and locally produced adult beverages. How’s that for a relaxing fall evening?

LM&M Railroad
For a truly unique sight-seeing experience, climb aboard the LM&M Railroad for a nostalgic autumn train ride. Take in the vibrant fall colors of Lebanon, Mason and Monroe, and learn about the history of old-style steam engines from experienced train conductors. Their seasonal Fall Flyer treats guests not only to a ride along the rails, but also to a hay maze and free pumpkin pie. Free pie? Sign me up!

Halloween Fun
What’s fall without a little frightful fun? Warren County is home to numerous ghostly attractions tailored to kids, adults and everyone in between. Waynesville, Ohio - regarded as one of America’s most haunted cities - and several other cities offer haunted walking tours, while Kings Island’s Halloween Haunt and Great Pumpkin Fest offer both authentically scary and more kid-friendly Halloween fun. Held on the grounds of the Ohio Renaissance Festival, Brimstone Haunt treats its fright-seeking visitors to both a hair-raising haunted hayride and a spine-tingling haunted trail!

Fall Festivals
Ohio’s crisp autumn air makes fall the perfect time of year for outdoor gatherings, and Warren County boasts some of the Midwest's very best outdoors festivals! Travel back to 16th Century England at the Ohio Renaissance Festival, or grab a bite and a beverage at any of the region’s popular food-themed fests. No matter what you’re in to, it’s almost certainly celebrated in Ohio’s Largest Playground. Read up on more of Warren County's awesome autumn attractions right here on OhiosLargestPlayground.com!
